Best Friend

Doesn’t she just take your breath away? She’s so beautiful. This is my best friend of 13 years Jess. We have been through so much together. High school, college, marriage, divorce, kids,  marriage again, moving, family, careers, many ups and many downs. She lives in Boston and so lucky for me when I was hired to go out there, I got to stay and play with her in New England.  A love like hers for me is unconditional. I could do anything, say anything, screw up, be dumb, and she would still love me, and I for her. We may not agree on everything, but we can appreciate each other’s differences. And she always makes me laugh like no one else. She’s like a sister, and we watch out for each other and protect each other. She is a gem, and a friend like her is so rare. I will be eternally grateful that 10th grade biology class brought us together 13 years ago.

Biology or Nelly? I’m not sure which truly brought us together, but I am certain nothing will break us apart. I love you Smates!!! Thank you!

So love my daughter from another mother, Jess. She is the best friend a mother could ask for her daughter. You two have found mischief for many years and it warms my heart that you’ll be there for each other in the years to come. Love, your Mommy/Monny
