Giveaway- Discovery Gateway Museum Passes
When I’m not a photographer, I’m a mom to two little ones. It’s how I spend most my days. And most days we are itching for something fun to do! So you can imagine my excitement when I was invited to preview the new Intermountain Live Well expanded “Saving Lives” exhibit at the Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum. This one of a kind exhibit has a real life-flight helicopter with an expanded triage area where kids can pretend to be Doctors, Nurses, and treat the “patients”. I especially found it adorable that the “patients” they treat are child size cut outs with the most common child injuries which are a leg fracture, wrist fracture or skull fracture. I have spent many hours at Primary Children’s Hospital with my Claire seeking treatment for her genetic eye condition, which can be nerve wracking for both me and especially her. I loved how one of the main focuses of this new exhibit is to get kids more comfortable in Doctor situations so they won’t be nervous if (heaven forbid) they ever have to be treated. They even have iPads with apps where they can play surgeon and treat patients. This is just so exciting to my little Claire’s imagination because she has been saying for months that she wants to grow up and be an “Eye Doctor…and a mommy”. If they’re not into role playing Doctor, they can role play Helicopter pilot and command center too.
Even more exciting news is THIS SATURDAY the 21st, since it is the 35th anniversary of the museum, all admissions are $3.50, and on Saturday only all memberships (new and upgraded) are $35 off!
If you can’t make it this Saturday for the amazing admission price, here’s a giveaway on me for you to take your family and enjoy! We sure love coming here especially when the weather gets chilly.
Full disclosure: This post was sponsored and compensated by Discovery Gateway, Intermountain Live Well and Primary Children’s Hospital
